Rules for Formation

Fopllowing the Annual General Meerting of the FTA in June, some very important decisions were agreed regarding Age regulations for all teams.

This is currently being ratified by the British Dance Council and full information will be published as soon as this is possible.

Should you require any claryfication, please contact Martin Cutler as soon as possible, on info@formationteachersalliance.co.uk

There are some very important changes to the 2009 Formation rules which will affect ALL trainers.

Mr Robert Bellinger, Chairman of Adjudicators at The British Junior Festival, has indicated in writing that he will be implementing the new rules IN FULL at the forthcoming event.

The new rules affect ages, times and liftwork.

It has been pointed out to him that the Juvenile times have not been published in the new book, but to ensure that you are all aware, these will remain the same as last year... Maximum time 5 minutes (includes walk on and walk off) 4 minutes performance will be judged.

Unfortunately the BDC declined to allow us to publish the new rules on this web site, due to copyright rules. We therefore, strongly advise you to purchase a 2009 Rule Book direct from the BDC as soon as possible.

The Address for this would be,

British Dance Council, Terpsichore House, 240 Merton Road, South Wimbledon, London, SW19 1EQ

Telephone,  020 8545 0085,  Fax,  020 8545 0225

email,  secretary@british-dance-council.org

We will continue to seek changes to rules as you suggest, and also permission from the BDC to publish these Formation rules in full.

Martin Cutler
